OS RE-INSTALLED

Hi All,

Thanks to some misadventures (namely installing an anti virus which was way out of the league of my system's capabilities) that i was up to after my visit to my friends house and what i was left with was a corrupted OS and lots of frustration and agony.

Impatient as i am, i let the anti virus to scan my computer immediately after installing it. My friend had warned me to read the "readme" file before venturing into the functions of the software. I guess i don't have to tell you whether i heeded his warning or not...

Every application i tried to open came up with unique ways of denying entry..for some it was "application not found" for others it was "open with" which is usually associated with unknown file formats and for yet others there wasn't even a response (leaving to click a couple of more times)

To solve the problem my well wishers suggested i re install my OS.Ramanathan, whose house was the genesis (hope Ramanathan does not read this blog..but even if he does i confessed to have self created this problem..so i guess no body is going to get red faced after reading this post))of the problem, offered help and came armed with a pirated version of the Windows XP on late Monday afternoon and in the process waking me up from my deep slumber.

Without much ado, we sprung into action but everything came to a grinding halt minutes after it all started. Ramanathan had forgot the all important key that was required to continue with the installation. Without boring those who are reading this..i did finally manage to install the OS and get back a some amount of normalcy in my life..

I am very grateful to Ramanathan for providing me with the installation CD and karthik for his timely suggestions..
