Long long time no see

Hi all,
It has been ages since i wrote my last post, i think almost 2 weeks ago. The usual culprits being my laziness, procrastination et al.:)

But it was not as if i was sleeping the entire period, though it figured prominently in the list of things that i was into. Hmmm did i say a list of things... let me see...no better downgrade it to a number of things ... list sounds tooo big..

Movies, courtesy of Ramanathan and Arun, pretty much become my staple diet. I watched close to 15 movies in this time frame. The Shawshank redemption, vantage point just to name a few. So of them really moved, others kindled my gray cells and yet others questioned conventions. English movies, as i have always believed and still, move out of the mundane love stories and demi-god worship that our own movie fraternities are obsessed with. But i guess we cant completely credit American directors and belittle our own ones because of one simple fact...Audience taste or preference or whatever u wish to call it..thats us! So we should take a fair amount of blame when it comes pedestrian presentation of movies..

{But all is not lost as our industries are waking up to changing preferences of audiences esp the urban ones and are making movies that are good, realistic in their own right)

Apart from movies, typing has been keeping me busy. Allow me to indulge in some self patting on the back.:) I always wanted, even desired, to be type fast and accurately but never really got myself to do it. The extreme boredom (read vettiness)of the past two weeks allowed to learn typing at my own pace.(without which i wouldn't be able to learn any new skill)

Thats all for now folks. See u soon...

I feel the directors are scared to venture out with something new because of we, the audience. It s a sad fact that a typical indian movie should have- a rich girl, poor guy, dream sequence in rains, fights with really exagerrated sound effects and a happy climax.
