Forged notes

Ok i am going to try to squeeze a quick one thru. the time now is 8 45 pm and by 9 there will be that horrifying mandatory power cut.

i saw in the news the other day that the 500 rupee notes belonging to the 1996 and 2000 series are prone to counterfeiting..relax..not all of them are forged..but the security features in them are inadequate to prevent forging..RBI has said that the new series of notes are counterfeit safe..well we would have to see about that..bcos this printing and counterfeiting seems to be a cat and mouse game..its just a matter of time b4 the counterfeiters catch up(going by past experience)

RBI has added that it will withdraw the 1996 and 2000 series 500 rupee notes in a phased manner from January 2009. so u guys out there just be a tad careful the next time u encounter a 500 rupee note...
